The Ultrafly team is totally dedicated to electric powered flight.  All of our aircrafts are specifically designed for electric power.  These planes are not “redos” of gas-powered models.  The construction, fit and finish of Ultrafly’s balsa aircraft enable the pilot to not only see but actually feel the difference in the air.  To take their designs a step further, they created their own brushless motor so that they can control the flight capability of their aircraft.

Designed as electrics from the ground up We dont take .20 gas designs, toss in a gear drive and motor and sell it as an electric. ULTRAFLY's electric ARFs are crafted as electric from the ground up, using materials and designs that create stronger, lighter and bigger high performance ARFs. Not all electrics are created equal Instead of wood spars our covered balsa 3D YAK-54 uses carbon fiber. Our cowls are fiberglass. And we use premium quality, low density balsa and rugged plywood formers. This kind of quality construction delivers less weight and increased strength. And ULTRAFLY's high torque, outrunner direct drive brushless motors are custom matched to our designs. Consider our distinctive, FW-190 covered balsa warbird. Combine its impressive 48.5" wingspan with an ULTRAFLY 250 watt F/12/10 motor and matched ESC, and you unleash lightning attack speed... while its airfoil design and wing loading deliver slow, slow speed maneuvers. Sweet.
